Transpersonal Therapy

The field of transpersonal psychology was founded by researchers and theorists who were interested in learning more about non-ordinary states of consciousness and mystical experiences. They studied and wrote about how spirituality and mysticism could inform psychology and therapy. Transpersonal therapy is not bound to any religious or spiritual tradition, but rather creates a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore their psyche, connection to the collective experience, and existential questions such as "who am I?" and "why are we here?"

Ambrosia embraces the concept of non-duality, which is an eastern philosophy that includes finding compassion and acceptance for our human experience in its fullness (the good, bad, and everything in between). In other words, removing judgement towards our experiences and creating increased acceptance for things as they are as opposed to how we think they "should be." Ambrosia's training in mindfulness supports her to help client's slow down and become more present in the moment through deep-breathing and grounding practices. Ambrosia is also adept at using guided visualizations in sessions to invoke the client's capacity for inner wisdom, imagination, intuition, and exploration of the subconscious mind.
